Over at Sharkey's, the former CA2 Beachcomber has decided to take a dip in the water and join the management team at Sharkey's. Actually, he's trying to make a splash.He's got high aspirations to make a good thing even better and it is already noticeable as he's actually getting the staff to be attentive to the customers. Good luck finding all of their hiding places though.
He's currently implementing subtle physical changes but keep your eyes open over the coming days and weeks for his ideas aimed at giving the place a much-needed boost.
My idea? Import some of these shark infesters:

And finally, where have all the CA2 girls gone? Not sure of many but Akea has now joined Jim at Sharkey's, Chantou1 is over at Gym Bar, Metha has moved over to Ade's new place, Monsoon, on St. 104, and Lin and Rota are on the daytime staff at Tony's near central market. Personally cannot give any other reason to visit Tony's other than to see these two as they sell their local beers for $1.50 and Marlboro's for a whopping $1.75. Usually only bars with a gimmick - G.I.R.L.S. - can get away with selling their beer for that price but no where asks so much for a pack of smokes! I suppose the best option would be to give 'em up...tomorrow!

That was a nice article in the BP about the end of CA2. I didn't frequent the place much, but I liked the article.

As for Sharky, well pretty gracious remarks but I think Al was spread too thin. Watching him in the kitchen is poetry in motion. Zen.
I'm only going to fill the gaps he couldn't stay on top of. Its a different venue than the California but it's been fun. Still taking suggestions.
Tonight (thursday ladies nite) pretty good ratio. Someones missing out. The cheap fried rice is catching on with the girls. A girl from her now returning from France had a small issue about her order/ladies nite/cant take the cheap food out....well I got to intervene and make it right.
got big plans ahead. No. 1 another shitter!!! Music sounds better. Gonna get Al focused on the Deli soon to open downstairs. Have a few more suggestions and welcome for more. As I said on the cali website my complaints became my burden, but I do score some great food. Also working on a few cheaper smaller portions for skinny fucks like myself (apart from the anchor gut)
