Y'all ready for this!

Chinese New Year is finally behind us. The year of the OX. Just look in the Khmer countryside and you will see plenty of ox carts. They move pretty slow. Chinese New Years in the past was always the last hurrah of the season, however this season it wasn't too far behind the Christmas and New Years celebrations. It traditionally brought in a shitload of tourist. Expats and Chinese from neighboring Asian countries travel in to escape the lack of things going on in their countries.

Well the past week saw plenty of people in the Heart at the 3AM time frame. Not last night. I imagine the hoard of people have started to filter out. If last night is any indication, I imagine this is the beginning of the slow ox cart pace of the cash and tourist that will be flowing into the country.

Its no wonder that the hostess bars were trying to get their 10 dollar bar fines and the lasses raising the bar for their services (or lack of). I expect over the course of the next few months, they will be hurting. They will even leave their work places to compete with the freelancers at the various other venues. I also expect many places will not be able to weather the drought. Start collecting phone numbers and I am certain you can get the before work special and cut out the bar owner.

Get ready, things are about to get good.
