Review: The Barge

Good theme for the party. Good crowd. Good scene in general and had fun, for awhile. Just a bit of constructive criticism: When hoards of people are leaning over the bar begging to give you their cash, by all means take it. And give them a drink. Mad Max waited 15 minutes at the bar for a can of beer, and I left after 10 minutes trying to get the attention of the numerous but preoccupied bar staff. I found wetter surroundings down the street at CU7. Prep work is fine, but prep means prior, not during. Instead of 5 guys behind the bar, each with his head down cutting up lemons or shuffling papers, take a drink order. First and foremost, you're in the alcohol dispensing business, or at least should be when thirsty people are dying to give you their money. Hopefully its just a phase that will get sorted out, be a shame for a place with so much potential to flop over something so simple.

Martini the previous night was memorable. A crowd of backpackers claimed squatting rights in the center of the dance floor. Literally. They were about to roll out their bedrolls and start singing koom-bye-ah when DJ Brett raised the bar a notch and they got to their unwashed feet.

Twenty four yr old dutch girl at Howies making a spectacle of herself. Basically offering herself to anyone in the bar who would take notice. Didn't take her long. Looking a little sheepish the next night at walkabout though.

It's Saturday Night

Shark was looking good. Homeboys GF cuddling up to some dude, but realized the bros were watching. Conveniently moved to the otherside of the bar where she didnt have to see us watch her. Dude move her out and stop giving her cash. She has enough on her own and if not for your sake... for ours!

9 ball comp in progress as this goes up. Should be a good one with 100 bucks in prize money and BBQ to follow.

Shanghai a little picked out, especially the gf's that should be working. Good crowd, and some stunners still about, but only one beer before heading to M.

New DJ at M. Good job. No idle shit, No House, No boring shit, just a constant beat that kept the dance floor active all night long. Shit that the dancers on the dance floor enjoy and not what the DJ thinks they should be dancing to.

Shit load of Indians doing the Fag Dance at one point. Its just wrong.
The girls ignore them and they didnt hang out too long.
